This Sexual Health screen looks for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Mycoplasma, Trichomonas, and Ureaplasma organisms, and Herpes Type 1 and Type 2 viruses. For the organisms a urine sample is all that is required, but for Herpes Type 1 and 2 identification a swab of any lesions present on the genitalia should be taken also. If your request includes a test for Herpes, you will receive both a Wound swab only as the other organisms can be identified from a wound swab as well as a urine sample - but for the investigation to be effective please note genital lesions must be present, and the swab should be taken from these lesions.

Special Instructions: If Herpes is being required along with the organisms, and only if lesions are present please use swab provided instead of urine sample pot.
