This Sexual Health Profile looks for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Mycoplasma, Trichomonas, Ureaplasma organisms and Herpes Type 1 and Type 2 viruses. For most organisms a Urine Sample is required, but if for a Herpes screen where lesions are present a swab should be taken. With Laboratory requests that include Herpes we shall send both a Urine Pot as well as a Swab in case lesions are present at the time of testing.

Special Instructions: If Herpes is being tested for, and Lesions are present, use swab provided instead of Urine pot.
