This blood test for Carbohydrate Deficient Transferrin (CDT) enables evaluation of recent alcohol intake, either for initial assessment or to monitor levels of consumption.
High consumption of alcohol up to 2-3 weeks prior to submitting the sample will lead to a high CDT percentage figure.
If you have lost your licence because of a drink driving offence this test result may be requested by the DVLA as evidence of low alcohol intake.
