The PLAC Test measures the risk factor Lp-PLA2 activity quantitatively. This knowledge assists with the prediction of risk of heart and blood vessel (cardiovascular) disease caused by the thickening of the arteries - which in turn is caused by the build-up of plaque on the vessel lining.
