COVID-19 Home Coronavirus Test Kits

Coronavirus Home Collection Kits. Laboratory Testing.

Private Home Coronavirus Testing.

Get COVID-19 tests at home, from an experienced provider.

Blue Horizon have been helping people access Laboratory testing from the safety of their own home since 2009. As our laboratory partners now offer COVID-19 PCR Swab tests and Covid Antibody tests our customers can now order these Coronavirus testing kits safely online, alongside our more usual range of tests such as thyroid hormones and cancer markers.

An enhanced service, for these unprecedented times.

Due to unexpected postal delays all customers are now receiving expedited postal delivery and we are pleased to say that typically results for both the Covid-19 IgG antibody test and Covid-19 RT-PCR Swab test are now being issued within 1 working day of the laboratory receiving back the samples.

Independent Laboratories for Personal Service.

Our test runs are on a very small scale compared to the UK government’s ambitious plans for mass detection and screening. Private testing is run independently from the government, and the sale of these tests does not limit capacity for NHS access to these tests. Both the COVID-19 RT-PCR swab tests and the Coronavirus IgG COVID-19 Antibody test are carried out by our regular trusted private laboratories that are fully accredited and registered with the Care Quality Commission where they need to be.

An easy process to follow.

For those that have not used home collection kits before the process can seem a little daunting, but 95% of our customers find collecting a viable swab sample straight forward, although the antibody vacutainer kit comes with the option of assistance from a nurse..

  1. Order your Coronavirus test kits online, they are dispatched same day (if before 1pm, monday to friday)
  2. Due to previous delivery issues we are now sending both the PCR swab kit and Antibody test kit ourselves, using the Royal Mail Next Day guaranteed by 1pm service, where a tracking number is provided. The service (in these pandemic times) delivers by 9pm, although we sometimes are able to offer a next day by 9am service (which delivers your covid kit by midday).
  3. Take a sample by following the instructions
  4. Post back in either the provided return envelope or by using the courier service, whichever laboratory return method that your kit uses.
  5. When the laboratory receive the sample, they will start testing straight away, results will be issued within 1 working day of laboratory receipt for the Antibody test, and 1 working days for the Covid PCR Swab test.
